HUNTLAND
SMALL TOWN STOP
Surrounded by rolling countryside and views of the South Cumberland Plateau, this small community offers a glimpse into a quieter way of life. It is the kind of place where a simple drive turns scenic, and where local landmarks carry generations of history.
At the heart of town, Redbuck's Mercantile stands as both a gethering place and a living piece of Huntland's history. Originally built in 1918 after a fire reshaped much of the town, the store has long served farmers, travelers, and locals. Today, visitors stop in for hearty sandwiches, burgers, and smoked bologna, often staying a while to enjoy the friendly atmosphere. It is not unusual to hear stories from local or even find yourself petting a cow out back.
Swiss Pantry, a beloved bakery and bulk food store known for its homemade Saturday donuts, homemade breads, pastries, and seasonal treats, is just a short drive to Belvidere. Pair a visit with nearby outdoor adventures like hiking the Walls of Jericho or Falls Mill, and Huntland becomes part of a full day exploration.
